Does Anyone Have Problems Getting Comfortable To Sleep With Their Implants?
I only have an implant on one side and there are days I can not sleep on that side. I just cant't get comfortable. Any suggestions?
Getting implants changed the way I sleep considerably - used to sleep on my side on a very firm bed with minimal pillows. After I got the implants, I found that I needed about 4 pillows and/or a body pillow to be comfortable and that I needed a softer bed. Finally, after 6 years, I sleep comfortably on my side (and have done so for about 4 years), but still like the softer bed so much that I got a sleep number mattress so that I could have soft but still have support for my back.
There is a breast pillow - it is wonderful! http://www.ebodylogic.com/comfortbolster.html
I tried it at a massage place then came right home a bought one!!! I love it!!!
I 've had my silicone implants for 1 1/2 yrs, I can finally lay on my stomach. I was always a stomach sleeper before. I love my Squishy pillows, used them alot when had expanders, and after surgeries. Exercise, yoga, stretching, massage have all helped.
The expanders were definitely hard to sleep in - hard and weirdly shaped. I've had silicone implants for just over 2 years now, and I have adjusted - mostly sleep on my back or side now. I do find it occasionally uncomfortable when having sex - the pressure of my husband's body on one place in particular just feels "off" - unpleasant, not actually painful. Mastectomies remove so many nerve, and the implants just aren't the same as real human tissue and nerves. The thing I notice most is that with time, you can adjust to nearly anything, and while this one isn't ideal, at least we are alive and curvy, and not in pain.
Fortunately I think it does get better with time. Mine is 3 1/2 years out and I don't notice it when I lay on my side anymore.
