Keep a healthy body weight. Honestly that's the only thing I believe that is truly within our power. No external hormones maybe, but once you've had an invasive cancer there's no way to predict. Especially certain types.!i have had her2+ and triple negative friends who did everything right and it still came back. You could go crazy with this question and beat yourself up but honestly a lot if it is out
Of our control. The eating right, staying active and watching weight seems to be universal advice I get.

Of course eating healthy and exercising are very important but also....DON'T think about it all the time, DON'T worry about it, DO things you enjoy and LAUGH.

I wasn't given any advice and I tend to eat low fat,low sodium. I do forget to eat veggies and fruits; mostly whole grains
I saw my oncologist every 3 mos for 5 years, then dropped to every six months for 7 years. I was dropped to once a year in April of last year. By October, I had a palpable mass.... Everyone in medicine says that it was a new tumor, rather than a recurrence. I'm satisfied that it was new.

Best advice: continue self exams and mammograms.

Eat healthy, gave up red meat and pork, use flaxseed everyday, exercise or walk ,eat cabbage everyday, eat berries, stay away from alot of dairy. Use almond or coconut milk. Take vitamin D. I had no idea that the lack of it could cause cancer. I take 2 reishi mushroom capsules everyday( look them up) they help boost our immune system. Take deep breaths, drink room temperature drinks or warm or hot drinks to keep our blood circulating, decrease sugar. Cancer likes sugar and places in our body with no oxygen and good blood flow ,so that why is
good to keep our body moving. Try to keep our blood not acidic because cancer likes it. I do cheat once in awhile. Stay away from sodas. Check out ideas from the Budwig diet-look up on web. I take vitamins that good to keep cancer away- green tea, tumeric, etc. I was triple negative and have allergies so my immune system is already weak,so find things that help boost your immune system to fight the cancer away. Pray, stay strong, keep a journal, think positive, keep negative people out, and live one day at a time, and thank the Lord every morning when you get up.Enjoy family and friends. I work and do not sweat the small stuff anymore. I am 3 yrs.out!!!!
