I Take Lupron Shots To Stop Estrogen,My Dr. Says I Need To Take My Ovaries Out? But Will Still Need To Take Arimidex ?

I was on tamoxifen until I had my ovaries out. Now I am also on arimidex 1 mg. my oncologist explained that my body still produces estrogen but about only 10%. But I've only been taking it for 6 weeks.

Same with me as @A MyBCTeam Member. I've been taking it for 15 mos. and will be on it for 5 yrs

I'm having my ovaries taken out too. I am on arimidex but my onco feels that having my ovaries out will be more complete where the estrogen and my cancer is concerned.
