Mine isn't no where near as thick as it was. I do miss my thick hair but the main thing at this point is just keeping it healthy and maintaining what you do have. Cancer takes a huge toll on our bodies and unfortunately it requires a lot of maintenance on our parts. I currently take biotin and try to use shampoo that is sulfate free. Peppermint oil is also great for the scalp. I use youngliving oils and they have some great stuff, Sulfate free shampoos and also aluminum free deodorants. I have switched that out as I read that those things have been linked to breast cancer. Look up youngliving.org

Thank you so much for asking this question about hair loss! I have been freaking out over this. I have always had super thick hair, and it just keeps falling out. It makes me want to cry. Does your hair come back once you go off of the stuff? Only 9 1/2 more years of Tamoxifen! Woo hoo!

Thank you beachgirl2016. I'm only 38 and I couldn't see spending the rest of my days worrying about that other breast. I didn't want a third time. I was going to be proactive this time and I did.

My Oncotype score was 16, low enought to wear my doc didn't see the need for chemo. Not much of a benefit from it but he does want me on Tamoxifen for 10 years. Not looking forward to it at all!

I had a lumpectomy with radiation 10 years ago but if I had it all over to do again, I would have had a mastectomy. The radiation causes so much tissue damage and it's permanent. It didn't do me much good. I ended up having a double this time with reconstruction but the radiation has really made things difficult with my reconstruction.
