I Do Not Want To Take Arimidex.
im doing radiation for 3 1/2 weeks and then they want me to go on arimidex, my cancer was estrogen induce, is there anything else i can do without taking the awful arimidex i heard the side affects are bad?
I did arimidex for a year and I had a lot of joint issues with it ! I am now on femera and it is not as bad, I have a friend who is also on femera and she says no joint paint...I have no idea but
from what everyone says there are def side effects.. I have wanted to stop taking it, but I will
Wait the 5 years. They are now talking about being on it for 10 years .. Will see how I do.
Everyone reacts differently. I have had no side effects that I noticed since I started arimedex. A an old uncle says, "Try it, you might like it"
I was on aramidex for almost 7 years with no problems.
I've been on Arimidex for 18 months. Side effects were noticeable in the beginning (hot flashes, sore muscles), but now I really don't feel any effects. Radiation oncologist said its normal for side effects to even out after a year or so, and they have for me. Lucky, I guess, but I wouldn't hesitate to try it.
I quit hormone replacement. The side effects were debilitating for me but they aren't for everybody. Now I'm here 6 years later and no recurrences so for me it turned out ok. You have to decide what's best for you. The greater odds in most cases are that you won't have recurrence but you just have to decide what risk you're comfortable living with.
