Has Anyone Skipped Their Period During Taxol Treatment?

I'm 39, and during AC treatment I still had regular periods. But now that I started Taxol, I seemed to have skipped. Is this a side effect?

My period actually has stopped as a February while I was still on AC. I'm currently on Taxol and it still hasn't returned...my dr said some women experience chemo induced menopause

Well she did say I would go into menopause, but I thought she was referring to hormone therapy after chemo. Maybe I missed that she said taxol would do that. Karen246

I am surprised your oncologist did not discuss this as a side effect. My dr made that and the possibility of infertility very clear to me even though I have four children and and beyond the age most people considider having babies.

I was told chemo would push me into menopause or at least temporary menopause and that cessation of menstruation was a normal side effect of chemo. It did not. I still have cycles and have instead bled continuously since starting chemo.:(
