My lymphedema flared up after almost two years ... it was worst than ever. The entire left side of my body was swollen ... imagine one side of your belly puffed up ... pain like you wouldn't believe. And the beat goes on!

I'm 15 years out and still struggling with Lymphedema. It comes and goes. Dr. Wrote the order for the Flextouch pump system and it helps. But this time it is in my neck and shoulder really badly.

I didn't know what it was at first. So far the two things that help the most are lymphatic drainage done by my OT and swimming. Swimming is almost like a cure it's so therapeutic!

I'm one year post mastectomy and got lymphadema recently . My earliest symptom was elbow pain as well -- tightness and pain while stretching. I didn't realize it was a symptom -- I just happened to start PT again with the lymphadema clinic in anticipation of lat flap reconstruction. She could tell I was having an issue just by feeling my arm and measuring!
