Acellular Dermal Matrix (Alloderm Or Strattice)
I had my tissue expander removed due to complications; however, the Alloderm was not removed. Has anyone ever experienced this before?
my ps told me that after around 6 weeks the alloderm becomes part of your own tissue... can't be removed :)
I had my mastectomy on 8/24 w immediate reconstruction, necrotic skin throughout Sept with debridement. First expander exchange on 10/2, second expander exchange on 10/16, removal on 11/12 with a few in office procedures between.
