Axillary Dissection 3 Weeks After BMX
My surgeon just called and wants to schedule another surgery to take my lymph nodes out. The BMX was done 2 weeks ago. the pathology came back and the tumor was 7.1 cm, not 2.1 like they thought. So I should never have had the Sentinnel biopsy but the Axillary Dissection. My Sentinnel node biopsy was negative.

I know I need these scans but I am so afraid they will find something else. Do others feel the same way?
Wait--why do a whole dissection if the sentinel nodes were clean?

Hopefully if the scans are OK, I won't need the additional surgery. My surgeon said the surgery is more diagnostic, anyway to stage you correctly. She said ithe results woukdn't affect my treatment.
Has Anyone Had Recurrence Of Cancer In Axillary (after A Complete) Axillary Dissection? All Lymph Nodes Were Removed In That Axillary.
