Bras After BMX With Tissue Expanders

A MyBCTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I had my BMX 17 days ago and I am still wearing the surgical bras. Before surgery I wore a 34 DDD. They have me in a a size large surgical bra. it seems huge on me and doesn't offer much compression and there is a huge gap on the bottom. my PSA says it is OK since I will get 2 more fills to a B cup. Are there better bras I could be wearing? Most of my old bras are underwire and way too big. I do have some sport bras.

Sport bra that zips in the front (Champion actually makes suitable ones) no wrestling over the head with one.
I don't believe you'd still be wearing a surgical bra to and through expander fills, so, to me, that answer seemed lame or uninformed.

Sports bras are best for awhile until you get to your final size. I then went to SOMA and got fitted for a bra. They had several non wire choices and i must say is most comfortable bra I've ever owned.

Soft sports bras NO underwire. Very comfortable especially after fills. I got a larger size so they didn't squeeze together. Trust me you won't need underwire after implants are in...lol.

Mandated for a period of time after surgery ( defer to your nurse) but not a hard and fast rule later on....I have a few underwires...wanna know why sometimes I l prefer them?? I have roughly 2 cm.'s difference in foob height ( ranks arot, radiation); on those occasions where I might wear a fitted shirt, it's noticeable. An underwire solves this problem, in that the wire sits at the fold of the good foob, and a inch below the rigid rad boob...from the outside it looks like my foob folds are symmetrical, not that anybody's looking...???!

@A MyBCTeam Member, thank you for your response. I am almost 6 weeks out from the mastectomy/expansion implant. After my first expansion, I developed a hole in my incision (the fluid that leaked out appeared to be like the fluid in my drain). My PS is waiting for 2 weeks before any additional expansion. It just seems without the weight of the girls to pull the bra down it is riding higher. I am going to call the PS tomorrow to make sure it's ok to go without (it seems like he said after we started expansion I would need to wear one.) I only have 200 ccs in each so I can't see why I shouldn't be able to go without...it's not like I need support yet! 😁 Again thank you and God Bless.
