Gosh, it's hard finding other ladies on here with Triple Positive IDC... is it just me?

I am triple positive .
The "up" side of being triple positive , is we have the opportunity to take hormone blockers or aramotese inhibitors for the estrogen positive part of our diagnosis. We also, get to take @Herceptin infusions for the her2+ part of our diagnosis.

Prior to the use of @Herceptin for her2+ bc, that diagnosis was much more dire. @Herceptin has been described as "liquid gold" for those of us her2+ .

While some cannot tolerate the side effects of the hormone blockers or aramotese inhibitors, discontinuing them is ok.

HER2+ to my knowledge is less aggressive than Triple negative. You must be going to some pretty scary sites.

Do you know what your Stage is? Do you have just one tumor? That is the important info. Like I am Stage IIA and I had 3 tumors in one boob. I am here to tell you I am cancer free. And I still have my right boob.

So see? Look out for those random sites and stick with those of us who have what you have and have conquered it :)

But yes, the "committee" as I call it sometimes just doesn't know when to stop and let us sleep! Those voices in our head are really annoying. Don't let them see what you saw online ;-)

I have IDC and I am not HER 2. I read somewhere that 80% of breast cancers are IDC. So your type of breast cancer, ER, PR, HER2 or TN has nothing to do with whether you are IDC or not. Stage 0 usually means that the tumor is in situ and has not spread beyond the duct. Other stages are IDC.

I was told repeatedly to stick to reputable sites...Komen, ACS, Mayo Clinic, breast cancer.org, national cancer institute, Susan Love's breast book.
We each react/ respond to the various treatments, surgeries, meds. I went into each step with positive thoughts and I know that truly helps me on this journey.
