How quickly after you have your lumpectomy do you start the radiation? I have had my chemo appointment and I don't have to have that, but it has been over two weeks since I called them and they still haven't called me back or said that they are not ready.
I started radiation about 5 weeks after my lumpectomy. I think they want your incision to be completely healed before starting radiation, which is really rough on your skin.

It depends on how fast you heal after surgery.
My last surgery was on 16th of June and they started my radiation treatment on the 31 of July . I will be done with my treatments next Wednesday. Still not sure of the long term but will keep everyone updated as I can on how these go from here. I will be starting my tamoxifen on the 30th
Has Anyone Had APBI (Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation) If So, What Was The Criteria To Be Considered For This Radiation Approach?
