My oncology surgeon offered a fast MRI for detecting cancer in dense breast. I am Twi years out from lumpectomy and radiation.

@A MyBCTeam Member: I will be getting MRI's yearly from here on out because my mammogram was 100% clear despite having 3 tumours (one almost 4cm directly behind the nipple). If they offer you MRI - TAKE IT. Every single time. Mammograms are beyond useless for dense breasts.

I have had MRIs in the past because I also have dense breasts. They make it easier to detect cancer.

My last mammogram missed 3/4 of my tumors, over 5 cm.

A way to detect cancer in women with dense breast . It shows more than a mamogram.
