Alcohol?

I’m wondering if anyone else who would like to have a drink every couple of weeks has experienced what I have. It doesn’t matter if I have even one drink; I always pay for it with increased neuropathy pain and horrible nights trying to get my temperature to regulate. I am either freezing or miserably hot and just can’t sleep. I really miss having a drink occasionally.

@A MyBCTeam Member same with me. I’m on a 2 week break while I switch from anastrozole to letrozole. The last couple of nights I wasn’t going from covers to no covers all night long. And today I’m cleaning and not constantly changing from sweat pants to shorts and putting slippers on and off 🤣

I’ll try the water. Marijuana helps with my insomnia but doesn’t seem to help the pain. It is great for stomach problems and nausea.

So. What I’m thinking today is that it’s not the alcohol but the kind of alcohol. I didn’t drink anything yesterday. But I was having hot flashes by 6:30. Today is my third day of low carb. Under 20 grams. I thought I would wake up feeling crippled. I mowed my front lawn yesterday for the first time since spring. We hired someone to do it. And I blew leaves and dragged tarps full of them up my hill into the words. I could barely get up to pee last night. I was prepared to lay around today. But I woke up at 5:30. Full of energy. Did my daughters hair for her college portraits. Did a big grocery shopping. Now I’m about to go out and do leaves again. Almost no pain. I really believe it’s the carbs and sugar. When I eat carbs everything swells. Even my fingers and toes. Try the spiked seltzer’s. Sometimes I put some strawberries and blueberries in mine. They are lower carbs. It takes getting used to. Especially if your used to sugary drinks like wine. But it helps. And I feel full eating the low carb things I make. I. Get so mad at myself when I fall off the low carb wagon. Because I really feel so much better when I don’t eat them. I am so thankful my daughter is quitting carvel 🤣🤣🤣
