AIs And Nerve Pain
I’ve been in anastrzole for 1.5 years and now I’m getting tingly sensations all over. Has anybody had this? Feet swelling and of course joint pain too.
Aromatase inhibitors (AIs) can cause musculoskeletal symptoms, including:
- Stiff joints
- Sore, weak muscles
- Joint pain affecting hands, knees, back, hips, and shoulders
These symptoms can resemble sciatica due to muscle weakness and inflammation affecting the lower back and sciatic nerve. About 48% of participants in Show Full Answer
Yea for sure. I’ve been on it for 5 years. I have that too and terrible fatigue and joint pain and I was just told I have to go 5 more years on it. It’s better then the alternative so I’m going to stay on it and do what the doc recommends. Hopefully it will get to the point it is tolerable for you!
My feet hurt all the time on anastrozole. And I definitely get weird tingles sometimes. It’s not as bad as before. I couldn’t even talk on the phone without my hand getting tingly. Then I’d switch hands snd the same thing would happen to the other. My feet went from an 8 to a 9. I gave my friend all my shoes. And none of my rings fit because my fingers are all bigger. I just asked to switch to letrozole. I figure it’s time to try something different
Yes, Letrzole--nerve pain in feet. I think all these meds attack the feet. Thougth it was arthritis but it was the meds. It was awful. I had to take a break and switched back to Tamoxifen
