In The Healing Process..getting Stinging And Burning And Pain At Would Site
Ging- are you doing the stretching exercises? If the pain is constant, I wonder if it could be tight scar tissue developing? If so, your surgeon can write you an Rx for PT to learn the exercises needed to keep that tissue stretched out so it is more comfortable. Worth asking about- Hugs!
yes or scream out loud like I do
At first it's scary- then you realize what it is, and it's annoying!! Especially, if it makes you jump a bit, and everyone needs to ask if you're ok- lol!
For me, the healing process included the Zaps, like a sudden, painful, electric shock. The NP had warned me about it- explaining that as the nerves heal, they will send "test messages" to the brain to make sure the connections are working. Nothing is wrong, and over time the frequency and the intensity diminish, until they are more startling than anything- and then one day you realize- you haven't had the Zaps in forever!! Hang in there, it's definitely uncomfortable, but knowing what is happening- and that it gets better, does help! Hugs!
I have been having those too. I really appreciate how you put it. I am hoping that it goes away soon.
