Lymphovascular Invasion?
What does it mean if my pathology report says “Lymphovascular invasion present” & “all margins are negative”?
I also had LVI. It does sound scary. But “all margins negative” is good. I agree with @A MyBCTeam Member you are doing all you can to combat recurrence, and your oncologist should be able to explain it in a way that makes sense for your specific case. ❤️❤️❤️
Doesn’t LVI mean that the cancer cells are already in the blood / lymph system? My nodes were clear so I thought it didn’t spread to my lymph system..
I should’ve asked when my surgeon called but was so emotional that day..
Trying to find out if recurrence & metastasis rate is higher if LVI is present..
Or should I be at ease because I’m on chemo + will be on anti-hormone pills ..
Thank you Tammy & Marita.❤️
Yep.. if it does come back, at least I won’t regret that I didn’t do everything I should’ve done..
This IS annoying! lol

You are already on the treatment. If you need reassurance, as we all do, call and speak with your oncologist.
It’s very jarring to read our pathology reports after our surgery. Very frustrating.
You are doing everything right ❤️
