A MyBCTeam Member asked a question 💭
Burbank, CA

Both ultrasounds show 3 suspicious areas. Had 36 rounds of radiation about 8 yrs ago. Normal mammo 9 months ago.
Q. Anyone have changes to breast where u had a limpectomy n radiation years later. 8 yrs.
3 areas look suspicious.
First ultrasound since treatment.
Please let me know.
Thank you! Going in on March 22 for biopsy. I'm so scared of recurrance.

I felt 1 lump it was in a different area. The other 2 lumps I could not feel. I am having a mastectomy tomorrow. My pet scan did not show cancer in any other area of my body. I am thankful for that. First my doctor said I’d need chemo intravenously. Now he says I may not. It will be up to oncologist. Thank you for your prayers. I feel I can get through this With Gods help. And you will too.

Hi Teal . I had a lumpectomy 24 years ago no chemo but radiation. About 4 months ago found lump. Biopsy found 3 tumors. I am now waiting for my pet scan results. I am so sorry you are going through this.

Good morning Teal. Try not to worry until the facts are in front of you.

You had a normal mammogram 9 months ago. What did those 3 suspicious areas look like 9 months ago? Just my thoughts, maybe unlikely that there would be 3 different areas with Breast cancer showing up at the same time after not showing up in the mammogram 9 months ago and if it was from radiation I would think it would have been seen 9 months ago so either or doesn't sound logical. So, what did these areas look like 9 months ago ? ❤️

Hi Laurie,
Sorry for the late reply. I have been so busy. Had a second ultrasound but.again 3 masses near original location in 2015. 2 doctors examined n feel no lumps.
Was wondering could you feel the lumps? I decided to just get the biopsy instead of the MRI. I had chemo n 36 rounds of radiation in 2015 n lumpectompy, stage 2, no lymp involvement.

I'm sorry u are having to through this again.
Please let me know what yr results are n treatment plan.

You mentioned u felt a lump?
Was it in the same area from 24 yrs ago? Was that area bumpy from the lumpectomy?

I'm sending you prayers that you will heal🙏.

Kindly,
Teal
