Congratulations on completing your chemotherapy! Here are some key points to discuss with your surgeon regarding your upcoming lumpectomy:

1. Procedure Details:
- Ask about the specifics of the lumpectomy procedure, including how much tissue will be removed and what to expect during surgery.

2. Recovery:
- Inquire about the recovery process, including how long it will take to heal and any post-operative care you might need.

3. Radiation Therapy:
- Discuss the likelihood of needing radiation therapy after the lumpectomy to ensure any remaining cancer cells are targeted.

4. Reconstructive Surgery:
- If you're interested, ask about the possibility of reconstructive surgery to restore the appearance of your breast.

5. Potential Risks and Side Effects:
- Understand the potential risks and side effects associated with the lumpectomy, such as changes in breast shape, scarring, and numbness.

6. Follow-Up Care:
- Clarify the follow-up care plan, including any additional treatments like hormone therapy or targeted therapy, and the schedule for future check-ups.

These points should help you have a productive discussion with your surgeon. Best of luck with your appointment!

Not sure what to tell you except I’m a big fan of mastectomies vs tumorectomies. This to remove the maximum of risk, especially because Her2 cancer can be aggressive. But it’s obviously up to you to decide what’s best for you! And congrats on finishing the TCH. I couldn’t deal the TC part.

So glad the chemo shrunk the tumor! Lumpectomy will hopefully be a piece of cake compared to chemo.

Wishing you the very best💕
