What Do You Eat To Maintain Your Protein When You're Not Hungry During Chemo Treatments
I know everyone's taste buds are different and the desire to eat certain stuff is or isn't there. Protein? Which is best protein? Powder? I know it's best to eat in small portions so to help the nausea. Suggestions?
I’ve been having good luck with scrambled eggs, peanut butter toast, or the Oikos triple zero Greek yogurt.
Cottage cheese with a dollop of apple sauce, or apple butter!
Thank you. Will add those yummy ingredients to my list. 🌻
I stay away from anything with soy as my breast cancer is hormone driven.
Toast with peanut butter, skinless chicken beast, baked potato with skin removed before eating, spinach at least once/day either as a side or in scrambled eggs or omelet, steamed carrots, cooked kale, applesauce (organic/no sugar/ add cinnamon)…
This has helped tremendously with severe nausea, diarrhea.
With the ongoing metallic taste of EVERY food, i use only plastic utensils.
Also ask your oncology Dr / team to set up an appt with one of their certified nutritionists.
They certainly have meds to also help take in/retain foods.
Best of luck and reach out if you need anymore info!
You got this!! We all do!!

I make protein shakes with organic pea protein powder, almond milk, berries, walnuts and whatever veggie or other fruit I have on hand. It’s refreshing and goes down easy.
