Iron bra is chest muscles tightening. Stretching a little every day helps with that.

Me too. I had a bilateral mastectomies and went flat. Around the house I done wear a bra but when I go out I put one a bra with prosthetics (as my S-I-L calls them chicken cutlets). Nobody knows the difference. Even swimming, I have waterproof prosthetics. It's more comfortable and the best is no boob sweat!!!

I had bilateral mastectomies in June of this year with reconstruction. It took about a month till I felt back to myself. The 1st week was hard but every few days following it eased up. Give yourself grace and patience it does get better.

Hi - I’m so sorry that you were diagnosed but welcome and thank you for adding me to your team🙏❤️
I was fortunate enough to get immediate reconstruction so I was able to do double mastectomy with DIEP flap (nipple sparing) reconstruction all in 1 surgery. Both my breast surgeon and plastic surgeon were awesome - I look and feel like myself. It’s been 11 months since my surgery (had it in Dec’23) and I love the way I look and feel. I don’t mind the scars but sometimes I get emotional from my port scars, hoping it’ll look better as time goes on.
Now I’m working on getting full range of motion with my arms / shoulders - it’s slow but getting there.
Not sure what stage of treatment you’re in but hope everything works out well for you. Looking forward to getting to know you 🤗
