Has Anyone Developed Strong Sinus Headaches With Anastrozole And What Helped Reduce The Headahes?

East Amherst, NY

I've only been on/off the anastrozole for 7 months. Was on letrozole for almost 2 years. Had serious joint pain in the knees and hips.

I had to get the Medical Oncologist’s office to write Accord Letrozole only on the prescription to get it filled properly.

Wegman’s refused to get Accord for me. Their policy for all meds is to get whatever manufacturer is available and refused to do this.
Target had another different manufacturer.
Walgreens said that they had Accord Letrozole in stock; and it was in their database; and they could get for me.

As far as what manufacturer they are getting your Anastrozole from, it is supposed to be printed on the med label.

You can google Anastrozole and Lactaid and find out which manufacturer puts Lactaid in it.

Your pharmacy may know this too. The Lactaid in Anastrozole caused my friend a lot of problems as she was allergic to it.

Which manufacturer of Letrozole were you taking?

Did you know that different manufacturers of same product can have less side effects?

I switched from Breckinridge Letrozole to Accord Letrozole and have less side effects and no hip pain.

One of the Anastrozoles has Lactaid in it which can cause problems with those with Lactaid allergies and not the other manufacturers of it.

- Managing Joint Pain: Some strategies include using Tylenol Arthritis, gentle stretching, warm Epsom salt baths, massages, and walking to alleviate pain.
- Other Side Effects: Both medications can cause hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, osteoporosis, arthralgia, and mood swings.

For sinus headaches, it is best to consult your doctor for personalized advice and potential treatments.

Hi Sue, Thanks for your reply. Can you specify to the pharmacist a different manufacturer? And how do you know what brand to ask for? I have no idea which brand I have/had. I assumed they gave out whatever manufacturer they happen to get in.
