My oncology radiation team only recommended slathering my whole breast area with Aquafora ointment every day & even several times a day- but not before treatments as you should be clean & ointment/cream free for the treatments. After finishing my month of daily M-F treatments I did have some uncomfortable open sores under my breast for which they prescribed Silvadene cream (a burn cream). Additionally, at the recommendations of women in my BC support group, I tried a Calendula ointment & cream that I bought on Amazon. I found that ointment to be the most helpful in treating those sores and they disappeared within a week or two. I’ve attached the Calendula ointment I bought below. Wishing you the best!
