Completely agree with Liz300. The test is for circulating tumor DNA originating from the tumor itself. This is a very specific test, you are not just part of some average. Some physicians will not order this test because there are no guidelines in case the test comes back positive (bad, found ctDNA), so they could be sued somehow. Common sense says that if the test comes back positive you would do scans (ULtrasound, MRI, mammography) every 4 to 6 months instead of 12 to catch it sooner and the radiologists would be given a heads up to be more cautious.
I did this test and am doing this every 6 months. My insurance denied the claim and Natera did not charge me then!! It was free except for the blood draw at the hospital ($32).
This is different for everyone and there is no right answer, but I, personally, would rather know than not know. Earlier detection. Guidelines WILL come out for positive results at some point.

Signatera is a blood test. My naturopath has me tested every 8 weeks currently due to 1 positive lymph node. It can detect if cancerous cells are straying to other areas even before it turns into something a scan can see. Another great thing to take is modified citrus pectin which doesn't allow any bad cells to attach to any other normal cells. Naturopath's take a natural/holistic approach to treating diseases. They dig deep to find the cause, not just send drugs and hope they help. Mine did in depth testing such as the DUTCH test (urine samples that look in depth into hormones, genomic testing (DNA basically) and others I've never had a conventional MD order. She knew by testing that my hormones were off the charts and that I even had Hashimoto's, both of which probably contributed to my bc. Insurance will cover blood tests but won't cover much else unfortunately. I'll use conventional medicine for certain things but naturopath's will be my go to from now on. And she does send meds, supplements as needed. Big Pharma doesn't want them because they'd lose out on all those gazillion they make on synthetic drugs.

My insurance denied the claim too to the tune of $7K+ which is absolutely criminal if you ask me and Natera didn't charge me either. I'm getting it every 8 weeks but that might change next time since I've had 3 negative results.
