No pain after lumpectomy, or if pain at all, very minor and dont remember. I made them give me opioids to take home ( I had to yell for them, they dont give out heavy pain pills ) I wanted just in case.. I never used them.. I went home, walked a few blocks (I live in a city ), and then home to a pint of ice cream.. No problems, no pain.. hardest thing was not showering for a few days.. stayed home rtaht night, and then was fine next s day...

I'm sorry you have been thru so much! After my surgery, I expect to get radiation treatments. I hope it won't be a lot of treatments! I will keep you in my prayers!! I think-- one day @ a time w all this. 🙏

My breast didn't hurt as much as my underarm did

I did the mastectomy- but all I felt afterwards was HUGE relief! And I was starving! I had the first surgery of the day, and was so ready for some lunch! I did not realize how much stress I had been carrying about the surgery until it was over- and gone!!

My lumpectomy was noneventful. I wasn't sore enough to need to any meds and appetite was normal. Sleep, however, was rough being a stomach sleeper all my life. I was back to cleaning 2 childcare centers in less than 2 days after.
