I am Her2+ and had DCIS along with Pagets. I chose mastectomies both breasts with reconstruction. I don’t regret it. It’s a personal choice, I’m sure you and your surgeon will come up with a plan.

Paget’s disease of the breast, often linked to underlying DCIS or invasive cancer, can sometimes require a mastectomy, especially if irregular calcifications suggest a higher risk. The decision depends on factors like tumor size, spread, and personal health. Discuss with your oncologist and surgeon to weigh options, including lumpectomy or mastectomy, and consider reconstructive surgery if desired. Always ask questions to fully understand your treatment plan.
