Similar to Carol I had immediate permanent reconstruction with 375 cc gel implants after a nipple and skin sparring BMX. I was very small breasted and my surgeon said he would go as large as he could given the skin I had. He assured me it would not be too big! ;) I am happy with the results. I wear a B cup and before I could barely fill an A cup. Good luck to you!

I may give them a call to see what their thoughts are. I am trying to get all the research I can. Don't want to go through another procedure and not have it work, so just taking my time. So sorry, I missed that part. I know when I spoke to my team about the possibilities of radiation (before my BMX), they would not implant until the ratiation was complete. Every PS is different tho. Sorry to hear of your infection, as if there wasn't enough going on. Ugh!! My medical team is in Boston. Yes, a 6 hr drive from my home but I feel its worth it. There are plenty of wonderful PS at Mass General Hospital but mine happens to be Dr. Amy Colwell ... Not sure if they can help but might be worth a call.

I would just like to add that my expanders were in for 3 months, not years. My PS at MassGeneral in Boston wouldn't do my exchange before that so I had my 2nd surgery 3 months and 3 days later. Yes, I'm the impatient type :) I expanded every 2 weeks or 10 days (depending on my schedule) at usually 120cc's per visit. Every PS is different to discuss with your team.

Correction: My Silicone High Profile Implants are 550CC's (not 450) and I would guess I am a B/C cup.
