Have a terrible rash from radiation that itches like mad. Dr told me to use cortisone cream and take benadryl. It isnt touching it one bit. I have taken every antihistimine known to man. Any suggestions?

I had terrible itching and a small fine rash and Rad Onc prescribed Mometasone 1% cream and it worked beautifully. Used it a night before bed and Aquaphor during day.

My radiologist prescribed a cream called silver sulfadiazine 1% cream applied 3x a day which significantly helped. Also use aloe vera gel (alcohol free) Fruit of the Earth brand - kept it it the fridge and slathered it on 2x a day!! Hope this helps!!

My oncologist prescribed Triamcinolone cream, 0.1 percent. It helped a lot in addition to a lot of
Aquaphor. Both of these were lifesavers. Good luck...
