I wanna add my post was supposed to say DON'T WAIT FOR THE MEDICAL FIELD to prescribe silvadene. Get it ASAP.

I also burned pretty bad. Do wait for anyone in medical field & wait til you can't stand your self. Ask for a prescription for Silvadene, its for burns. When it burned they had to beam only to the cancer site for a week or less then went back to the whole breast. I think it was 2 weeks of MISERY , then after using the sivadene crème it was almost cleared up in 4 days....HOPE NOBODY HAS TO GO THROUGH WHAT I DID. !!!

Your skin will darken during treatment, but should return close to normal with time. Make sure you use something to protect your skin all during treatment and after. I used aquaphor and emu oil and my skin was fine.

I did not burn too badly and my skin is all back to pre radiation color. I finished 11/11/13.

My breast turned darker doing radiation and i had two very bad burns under my breast and in the arm pit. The arm pit is the only place that has not return to it pre treatment color.
