How soon should it take to expect side effects of Tamoxofien to start? I just began taking it New Year's Day:{

The "side affects" are caused by an imbalance of Estrogen levels. Herbs like Black Cohosh, Chase tree, & Don Quoi are estrogenic & help increase estrogen levels so they stay at a balanced level. A better alternative would be to eat cruciferous vegetables such as Brussel sprouts, kale, & broccoli which metabolize estrogen and bring your excess estrogen levels down to a manageable balance. Lowering sugar intake will also help curb the hot flashes.

Theres a book on Amazon called "The Anti-Estrogenic Diet Book" by Ori Hoffmeckler that I found invaluable as I learned about all the sources of estrogen & how I came to have an excess that caused my bc. Estrogen can enter thru your nose! Its so important to learn how u can help your body heal itself by staying away from the causes of your cancer.

I think side effects are different for everyone. I have been taking Tamoxfin since November, I was post menopausal but I noticed a difference right away. Good luck

Have been on it for a month. Night sweats so far are the only side effect I've experienced. Nothing else out of the ordinary, I hope it stays that way!

Been taking tamoxifen since June 2014, I first started taking it every morning but gave me knee pains all day long. So I switched taking it to bedtime instead & so far no more knee pains. I have hot flashes, irritability & trouble sleeping but I'm trying not to dwell on them. Just think positive.

I have been on it for 5 months and some were right away and some have been gradual. I wish you lots of luck with it.
