Can it cause not to sleep at night?

I have been on Tamoxifin for one year. Hot flashes did increase when I first started taking it. I was already having them from a hysterectomy, but they definitely increased. But now they have diminished but insomnia has increased. I fall asleep great but wake up numerous times during the night. I do believe stress adds to this plus my age. I am supposed to be on it for ten years.....hoping I can find something to help me sleep better. I like the idea listed here of cherry juice....will try it! I have tried melatonin that didn't work at all!

What time of day are you taking it? Maybe trying switching that up and it could help?

Yes, insomnia is one of the side effects that I had. I still drink 3 to 4 ounces of Tart Cherry Juice before I go to bed. I started that while taking Tamoxifen. It creates natural melatonin in your brain and helps me get to sleep.

I agree @A MyBCTeam Member. Stress had alot to do with it. But the hot flashes were definitely from the tamoxifen! No doubt!
