I gained weight with Femara.,also take Effexor. Between the two, it is hard to lose. I lose 10-15 pounds by limiting Carbs. Then over holidays gained some back, because can't resist. It can be done, but is harder. I am starting to eat healthy again & hope I will lose all I gained.

30# around my midsection and it sucks. No matter what I did I kept gaining!!! I think I finally stopped gaining. Recently joined a gym so I am hoping somehow that will help. Ive outgrown all my fat clothes so have nothing that fits! Ugh! Before I was diagnosed I was doing great at losing weight, maintained my weight throughout chemo and radiation, Arimidex and my hysterectomy did me in.

I gained 30 lbs on it the first 5 months and was on it for another 7 months and didn't gain anymore and now I have been off of it for a month and haven't lost any weight but then again, I'm not really trying. I just stay the same. I really should lose 50 lbs but I don't see it happening.

I was very concerned about gaining weight on Anastrozole. I have always struggled with my weight and had gained way too much in recent years. But, after my breast cancer diagnosis, I started walking every day (usually 2-3 miles) and lost about 20 lbs. I haven't gained any back since starting on the Anastrozole 1 year and 4 months ago. But I haven't lost any more either. And I really need to lose at least 45 lbs. 55 lbs would be better.
