I had blood work done this past Nov 2014 CBC . My blood work was fine , I just found out this week my cancer is back through having my routine mammo and ultrasound a reoccurrence in the same breast has showed up
My question is if the cancer was present during that time or spread through my body or not would my blood count , levels be off ? Just curious if yearly CBC would pick up cancer anywhere in your body ? I'm hoping that's a good sign that this past November my blood work was good ,β¦ read more
I have repeatedly asked my onc to do blood work on me to see if it would show recurrence and she repeatedly has told me there is no blood test that will detect most cancers except those that specifically deal with the blood. When was your prior mammogram? Do you have ultrasounds as well?
No cbc will tell you! If I were you, I would have them removed and radiation! I wish I chose that! I have stage 4 now. Bone mets. Don't let them tell you that it won't come back! Mine did ! Do radiation to chest after please... Save yourself

I only know from my experience, that my doctor ordered a specific blood test, to check if there were any questionable spots of cancer anywhere in my body.
