Anyone Have A Bald Spot Or Thinning Of Hair After Taking T/C?

It's been a year cancer free for me and my hair is growing except on top. It's so thin on top I look bald. So I still have to wear a hat!

I just read about a new law passed and went into effect December, 2015 regarding pharmaceutical's have to put a label on T/C to inform doctors and their patients that T/C causes baldness or partial baldness permanently.

So the patient can make their own decisions not to have T/C and the doctor can request something else.

@A MyBCTeam Member - I'm not on any hormone blockers or meds. So I know that wasn't it. Statistics show whoever had chemo T/C that your hair might not grow back or just a little. I'm hoping whoever has this problem and had chemo T/C will answer! Maybe they might want to join the mass lawsuit against the pharmaceutical that failed to alert doctors and patients about T/C side effect, (Bald, thinning) hair!

I checked an African-American wig store and found and olive oil treatment that is really helping for the bonus. It's very cheap, and you can take a picture of the ingredients with your phone and show them to your doctor.

@A MyBCTeam Member - Yea I think someone was talking about the lawsuit in the thread - I think it's probably the Cyclophosphamide part of the cocktail that is causing it. The lawsuits I saw were for Taxotere - is that the same as docetaxal??) I had docetaxal with herceptin and perjeta and I haven't had a problem. My hair came back thick and curly - I can't do much with it but at least it's there!

@A MyBCTeam Member - there are a number of threads on the Q&A section regarding hair thinning/loss from the cancer meds. I had asked about it for hormone blockers and there are over 200 responses on the various meds and what women are experiencing on that one.
