Letrozole Brands
I'm currently on letrozole, the brand is teva. I've heard that the Watson brand has less bone pain. Has anyone heard of this?
I am on Accord Letrozole & w joint pains also. I asked my onc about whether the additives that different mfgs. put in the drug contribute to bone pain. He said they do not and it wouldn’t help to change to a diff. maker. They all do basically the same. Ughh. But I read otherwise here...?
It all depends on which manufacturer your pharmacy is getting medications from.
I don't know who manufactured my letrozole (it was a little white pill) but it sucked. It wasn't bone pain it was horrific joint pain that actually showed up as osteoarthritis on x-rays in my hips/feet/hands/knees. So bad I couldn't kneel or stand up off the couch. Nothing helped the pain for over 1.5 years of both otc, prescription and supplements. I had to switch to ARomasin. I took a three week vacation (after a year of debating) and felt no difference. Then I switched to the aromasin and it's taken about six weeks but I am feeling so much better although still have some stiffness in my hands and some of the relief may be from cortisone shots in my hips!
It all depends on who the manufacturer is!
Three months on and I'm still having hot flushes! In the evenings my joints are stiff and sore!
