Memory Loss
Any of you that are on estrogen blocker have problem with memory loss?
This is the cancer journey we now walk "new normal". It stinks, it is real, and the doctors do not discuss it with you in advance because not everyone gets it. You will create work arounds. Talk to family and friends and ask them to be patient and ask them to be gentle when they point it out to you. Be patient with yourself - your entire body had gone through hell. Have a notebook in every room if necessary. Be well., Liz
Yes! chemo brain hit hard with me! After four years I still have trouble remembering things short term. I've had trouble with focus, organization, word retrieval. For me it's gotten better, but not one of my doctors gave me a heads up! Google chemo brain and you will find some very interesting info!!
My feelings exactly! It caused suspicion with my family, and in fact my daughter said she is still mad that no one explained any side effects to me or them. She has apologized so many times about her lack of patience, her anger toward me as well as questioning my credibility. I have thought about the quality of life, because that one symptom caused me a lot of harm. As far as lifelong, who knows, but the latest info on Google said that it's way more prevelent with breast cancer patients. I'm triple negative which means I was treated with a general form of chemo with no hormonal intervention. The bottom line is that we have ingested a lot of toxins, and I think it's absurd to think the brain would not be effected. I cannot begin to thank you women for your honesty and validation!!
Maybe because she hasn't had cancer or chemo-therapy?!
@A MyBCTeam Member, no worries...forget about it!😂😂😂
