I had DIEP 4 years ago and a couple of years out started getting spasms in my lower, right abdomen. They don't last long, 15 seconds at most, have to sit still and breath deeply. I keep forgetting to mention it to my doctors.

I have had the DIEP and on occasion I do have a spasm. I know my treatment team speaks of all the nerves healing and recovering causes all lot of the issues. Check in with your surgeon for the best advice. Hugs!

I had DIEP Flap reconstruction a year and a half ago.. about a 6mo into surgery I started having Spasms in my rib cage area that went from front to back. Have had MRI and Breast Surgeon as well as Plastic Surgeon trying to figure it out. They say its scar tissue from the surgeries. Its excruciatiing pain out of the blue that takes my breath.
