Does Chemotherapy Effect Fingernails
Yes, it sure did! I am 5 years out and still take Biotin to help them. Good luck!
You can ask for ice bags for your hands and feet. I didn't find this out until my third last chemo. By then my fingernails were turning black. They won't tell you about this, but at the Tom Baker all you have to do is ask.
Your so right ,,,,,,,
Yes they can become weak and brittle during chemo.....chemo wreaks havoc on pretty much everything unfortunately 😛
I am 24 years out from chemo and I still have terrible nails. Three times I have gotten a hole in the nail bed. It has to grow out but takes several months. They did not hurt but made the nail bed very tender. They were always in a different nail. They never went all the way to the nail bed but very close, especially the first one.
