Watch your ovaries, BRCA also raises your ovarian cancer risk.
I had mine removed at 46. Surgical menopause is hard but there are some bio identical testosterone hormones that are safe for estrogen positive breast cancer survivors.
Do what’s good for you, your decision.

It’s your decision.
I had BC in 2009, no BRCA gene variant so I opted for a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation.
In 2018 my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was retested and found out I have RAD51C variant, witch is an ovarian cancer variant and a possible breast cancer variant. I didn’t want to risk reoccurrence, so I had a double mastectomy and DIEP reconstruction (used my belly fat for new boobs). I am so glad I made that decision. I also had a radical hysterectomy. It was hard going straight to menopause but I am now on bio identical hormones and I feel really good. No regrets what so ever about my decision.
Just talk to your doctor and explore your options. It’s even good to get second opinions.

I think it’s a very individual choice.
I’m getting tested for it next week, basically for my kids & siblings.
Braca puts us in a higher risk category for 5 cancers. My hubbys family has it as well, his cousin did a dbl mastectomy to be safe.
If it were me, I’d do it.
Good luck in your decision making process, I know it’s not easy.
