I've had my port for about a week and it is still really tender.

Thanks for the feedback…I’m happy to report the pain/tenderness has resolved. Just some soreness after it is accessed for a couple of hours

Mine was pretty painful for about 3 weeks - tender and sore. This was actually worse than the lumpectomy pain. After the initial pain resolved, no problems at all.

My port was uncomfortable for about 3 - 4 days after it was placed. Now, 2 yrs later, I hardly notice it at all. Cool compresses should help; I would avoid direct contact with ice. Hope you're feeling better by now.

I felt serious tickling around my treatment after the radiation. Taking tamoxifen did not attract on my case. However, I found a little rash around both arms.

P.S. I had a surgery on my left diagnosed as 1A & O.
