How Much Vitamin D Should We Take?
The general recommendation is Calcium 500-600 mg twice a day, with Vitamin D 1000-2000 IU per day.
If you are on any medication, discuss it with your team.
Interesting, I was just taking about Vit D today with one of my co-workers. There is research being done to look at low Vit D and the risk of breast cancer. When I was diagnosed, they discovered my level was really low, and I had take prescription Vit D.
Hi Teresa, my oncologist has me taking 2.000 units of D3 daily, and 1,000 mgs of calcium. Hope all is good. Hugs and prayers 🥰🤗👍
Most adults have low Vitamin D because we just aren't outside enough. Us Canadians especially! I take 2000iu daily 👍
I take D3 3000, 1 tablet daily.
My dosage was based on a nutrition panel my PCP did before I started chemo. The NIH has a factsheet about recommended levels, but I always run everything past my PCP.
