Re:
Your doctor’s comment that those who already have arthritis do not notice additional joint pain is off.

She must not have any joint pain or take Letrozole herself.

If you have any arthritis, the AI’s will increase the joint pain there.
So, don’t you think people will notice more joint pain? Or more often joint pain with their arthritis?
If you have had any injuries or past broken bones, you may also have joint pain or muscle pain there.

Why can’t science find better products for us? Why has nothing new been discovered and without all these side effects? Are they even working on this as the pharmaceutical companies sell so much of these products now?

You are not alone! All joints hurt, including elbows! 🤷‍♀️ I was on letrozole for about 18 months and then switched to Anastrazole to see if it made a difference (it did a little). I have also heard others say that using a different manufacturer or generic version made a difference for them. I agree with this-I went from a capsule to a tablet on another med and it made a huge difference.
Epsom salt bath and arthritis gel ( I use voltaren gel, but the Costco version thats cheaper) and Aleve periodically, to help with the joint pain. But the best thing for everything but the finger pain, is some sort of exercise most days. Even just 15 minutes helps. Good luck! Remember this journey is a marathon not a sprint💕💪

I am 73 years old, have been on Letrazole just about 3 years. I had arthritis before taking Letrazole and my right hand is swollen, stiff and weak, all more so since taking the AI.

Hi Sue10,
I obviously want to stay cancer free. But, considering that my weight is already an issue and is a risk factor for many things, including cancer, it does give me pause. Did you experience any joint or bone pain prior to the Letrozole? I'm curious if other's experiences match what my doctor said she had seen in her practice.
