Deodarant After Drain Is Gone
Anyone recommend a good deodarant after drain has been removed? I am 1 week out from removal of drain, and 2 weeks post op. I am not even sure I can wear deodarant yet. I forgot to ask. And haven't shaved obviously since I am totally numb still.
@A MyBCTeam Member: switch to an electric razor - safer with the numbness. Google health shops in your area - lots of natural deodorants to choose from 👍🩷
No problem! You can use sercert no al aluminum deodorant!! While you are doing radiation!
Yep, always had a problem being around people being too generous to themselves with perfumes, after shaves, etc. I have to wash all new clothes before I wear them, fragrances in laundry detergents, fabric softeners, etc. can get me itchy, too! I'm also allergic to bandage adhesive, several lotions and makeups. Can't wear wool, or wool blends. No wonder I am happiest in my jeans and t-shirts out in the fresh air!!
My doc recommended dove spray-on deodorant when I asked during a post-op appointment. I've been using it for the last few weeks with no issues, and I still had my drains in when I started.
I have tried several of the "natural deodorants" and I am currently using Lume. It's my favorite so far. You see it advertised on TV, but it is also sold at Target. I prefer their stick cream deodorant over the solid, as the solid would leave a residue in the armpit of my shirts. Online they also sell a prewash that worked great on stinky sneakers!
Happy Hunting!
