Chemo Induced Neuropathy

A MyBCTeam Member asked a question 💭

I completed Taxol for HERS2 Positive breast cancer in 12/2021. I currently am receiving immunotherapy every three weeks, perjeta’s can contribute to neuropathy. Has anyone found a remedy for neuropathy of the hands and feet? Thank you!

I developed neuropathy in my hands and feet during chemo Feb-April 2022. Lots of pain in my hands that woke me during the night. Pregabalin caused nausea and diarrhea and wasn't very effective. It's improving slowly after nearly 1.5 years. I squeeze a soft rubber ball to encourage blood flow to my hands, roll my feet on a hard ball (like a tennis ball) to encourage blood flow and nerve regrowth, and I wear Incrediwear circulation gloves at night which reduces the pain and stiffness that wakes me up. I've been told nerves take years to regrow and am hoping I'll continue to see improvement over time. Good luck
