I'm having dull aching pain on the right breast where I had the surgery. Is it normal after almost 5 months.?

I'm just approaching my one year anniversary and it still hurts sometimes.

Yes, not uncommon- it can start after surgery as the nerves heal, as a sharp, sudden pain- but as time goes by, it becomes the dull ache- and then one day, it will occur to you that it hasn't happened in quite a while! Hang in there!

Random pain seems to happen on occasion and the doctors say it not uncommon.

I am 5 months out as well, and still have pain, tenderness after double mastectomy. When it's cloudy or rainy I still get iron bra syndrome as well.
