About To Start Hormonal Treatment With Letrozole. Should I Get A Hormone Level Test To Establish A Baseline To Monitor Estrogen Hormones.

My assumption is that an estrogen baseline would either provide comfort that Letrozole is the "right" mediation for the next 5 years or signal that a switch is needed.

Your doctor should look at your hormone levels, I would think. I just started Letrozole and my doctor wanted to make sure I was past menopause when she started me on it. I guess it's good to have a baseline.
