It all comes back little by little, I was told it would take a year on average to get out from most of the chemo effects.

It took about 2 months for my hair to start regrowing, but it is coming back in much thicker, slowly but steady growth since then. I was told by my medical oncologist to increase my protein intake to help my body recover faster from chemo & it does seem to help. I’m 4 months out from my last chemo & I’m just starting to get a somewhat normal appetite (everyone is different though). My energy level is improving a little each day….getting plenty of fluids and rest helps me with that.

Congratulations on finishing your chemo treatments ❤️ Take it one day at a time, be gentle with yourself, and just know that it will get better with each day 😊

Lar2 Congratulations on finishing your Chemo treatment! It's such a good feeling! Celebrate! Chemo was so hard on my body I stopped it short of 4 more months. I was supposed to have 12 months of chemo but, I couldn't take it anymore and stopped at 8 months.
Hair growth usually comes back in 2months. My hair was curly and I had less of it. Appetite is different for each person. I lost a lot of weight during treatment so I ate less and in smaller amounts. It too comes back slowly. Whatever you are craving I'd eat it and see how it goes. Take time to feel the feelings and see how you develop over time. Share time with friends and just enjoy life as much as you can.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

After my first round of chemotherapy and i was finished it took about 2 months for my hair to start growing back and when it did it grew back thicker and a different texture i was so excited. On the other hand my taste buds was a little bit different it took longer and I couldn’t eat the same thing i did before. Congratulations on your last chemo way to go
