I'm 55 years old, turning 56 in a few days. While it may not be advisable for someone younger like yourself to experience early menopause, it's acceptable for me.

Unfortunately, it is related because HR+ BC are fueled by estrogen. Ovaries are the biggest producers of estrogen in our bodies.

True. My onco will switch me to AI in June. I am still in dillema regarding ovary removal. My onco does not agree, but my gynocologist oncologist thinks it would not be bad to remove them.

Yes, body fat and ovaries produce estrogene. Yes, you have to be in menopause for at least one year in order to switch from Tamoxifen to AI. For me it will be in June when I will switch to AI. I have an ovary cyst that is preatty big but filled with translucent liquid, so I guess sooner or later I will undergo surgery to remove them and therefore reduce the risk for recurrence and ovary cancer. 😀
