Just Started Letrozole 2 Days Ago. What Should I Expect?
Hi Lisa, I’ve been on letrozole several months now. My main side effects are insomnia and fatigue. If I take it at bedtime I don’t sleep well. If I take it in the morning I get very tired in the afternoon. But reading @A MyBCTeam Member’s comment i am realizing I could take it several hours before bedtime and see if that helps. It takes a village!
Hi Marita, I started taking it after dinner and has helped. Good Luck.
Hey, Lisa...I started letrazole 6 weeks b4 my chemo infusions. That was 3 months ago. I had a number of side effects but to go over them here is pointless. Everybody reacts differently. I do take it at night as that works best for me. Ths side effects I do have are manageable. If the aren't I make my onc team aware. If you are experiencing any changes, let me know and I can help you through them. Sending hugs your way.
Hi Lisa, So good to hear from you. I started taking anastrozole about 4 weeks ago. The first few days I had a headache and insomnia, was taking before bed. I started taking it earlier and has helped with both. Hope your body adapts easily and we have a better year in 2024. Take care, Terry
Terry10, I understand you completely about symmetry. I am happy having just a lumpectomy and the surgeon taking as much as she did to get it all. Although my left is so much larger than the right. Tried a shell prosthesis in the right and just cannot get it to work. Also, the left is lower than the right and I must be careful what tops I wear. Still cannot be comfortable in an underwire like I always wore.
