Anyone Still Got Pain In Breast/under Arm 7 Yrs After Treatment Finished?
It's been 4 years since my treatment and surgery and I still have some soreness under my arm. It's not a constant pain, but if I touch it, it hurts.
Yes, lingering pain years after breast cancer treatment is not uncommon. Many MyBCTeam members have reported experiencing pain in the breast or underarm even years after their treatment. For example, one member mentioned having pain under their arm by their ribs that wraps around to their back three years after a mastectomy Show Full Answer
Thank you so much for replying!! If it doesn't settle soon will make a dr appt. X
My husband keeps telling me between the chemo, radiation and surgery there was alot of trauma there so it will probably stay sore for quite awhile. I had a lumpectomy, but they took out quite a few lymph nodes. If you worry about it too much, I would talk to your Dr.
Thank u! I have some lymphoedema and think it may be linked to that! But i get intense flare ups and no idea what causes them! It still gives me some anxiety thinking it might be something sinister!!! Xx
